Our Guide To: Maison&Objet 2026

Our Armadale Shopping Guide Reading Our Guide To: Maison&Objet 2026 3 minutes

Maison&Objet 2026 delivered a powerful reminder that great design is both heritage and horizon. Under the theme “Past Reveals Future,” the show explored furniture as an extension of knowledge, craft, and memory— proof that when design draws from its roots, it rises higher. With 2,300 brands across seven halls, the fair was a true global snapshot of what’s next, and a few of our team were on the ground to capture the standout trends, finishes, and ideas shaping the season ahead.

Maison&Objet 2026 made one thing clear: the future of design is material-led. Across the fair, futuristic finishes and smarter surfaces were everywhere. Fermob captured this shift beautifully with the Calvi table’s new mineral tabletop, introducing a Dekton finish that delivers a more durable, hard-wearing option without compromising on style. And for those wanting indoor elegance outdoors, Sika-Design’s ArtFibre and AluRattan continued to stand out — refined, design-forward materials built with improved weather resistance.

Lighting firmly stepped out of the “functional” lane and into centre stage — seen as art, sculpture, and a defining design element that shapes the mood of a space. Practical lighting turned to statement pieces played with form, texture, and silhouette, turning light into a visual feature even when switched off. Fermob echoed this direction with a first glimpse of new portable lighting concepts designed to extend their existing lineup, leaning into sculptural and relaunching their best selling Balad and Swiing ranges with a 2nd version providing better battery efficiency, better light intensity, and better, safer charging capabilities than the original, making it a more refined version of the same iconic design.

Colour at Maison&Objet 2026 was confidently dual-minded: bold and vibrant in one moment, then soft, neutral and warmly under hand-crafted textures. Fermob showcased their newest colour addition Latte Beige, rolling it out across a mix of best sellers and new arrivals. It’s the kind of modern neutral that doesn’t fall flat: use it to add warmth to light, minimal palettes, or lean on it as a grounding base when styling deeper, moodier tones… either way, it brings effortless style to your space. Bright colours around the Fermob stand also showcased new finishes like stained timber of Studie chairs to showcase Fermob’s talent for bold colours.

It wouldn’t be a major show without the launch of new exciting pieces and our brands did not disappoint. Sika-Design made a standout statement with the launch of the Coco Outdoor Lounge Chair, originally designed by Nanna Ditzel in 1973, now translated for open-air living with the brand’s signature durability and style. On top of their updated versions of classics and new finishes, Fermob also expanded on its much-loved Bellevie range, unveiling the Bellevie Desk and Console —a smart extension that pushes the range beyond outdoor lounging into everyday work and entryway moments. And surprised us with new extensions to the Surprising range introducing more timber finishes and craftsmanship to our range of seating and dining options. They also showcased a new versatile chair forming the new Archie range - With many more products to unveil soon.
