Inspired by the graceful sika deer, Sika Design was established by Ankjaer Andreason in Denmark in 1942. Sika Design is a globally recognized furniture brand, crafting exquisite handmade rattan and teak pieces using premium materials. For over eight decades, Sika has showcased rattan creations envisioned by iconic figures in Danish design history, such as Arne Jacobsen, Viggo Boesen, Robert Wengler, and Nanna Ditzel.
Now under the stewardship of third-generation leader Louise Andreason, Sika Design remains a family-owned business. Louise is deeply committed to sustainability, timelessness, and the enduring quality of Sika's offerings. Her vision has spurred the launch of the new Sika Design Exterior collection, proudly presented by Classic with a Twist at the 2024 Sydney Design Show.
