The Robert Chair was designed in 1901 by Robert W. who is today known as the pioneer in the production of Rattan furniture. He set the course for how we, through solid craftsmanship and by challenging the possibilities of the material, produce rattan furniture today. A distinctive chair it will add a natural element and warmth in dining and family room areas.

It is part of Sika-Design's exclusive ICONS collection which represents a unique selection of design furniture, created by renowned international designers. With great respect and admiration for the original designs and in close collaboration with the descendants of these well-known furniture designers, Sika-Design is delighted to bring these pieces back to the fore.

Handcrafted with great expertise the fine detailed windings in the seat and back of the Robert Chair are made on a rattan frame. Sika-Design uses carefully selected rattan for furniture production to ensure the highest quality. Rattan is often compared to bamboo, but unlike bamboo, rattan is a solid material. Rattan is a remarkably strong and indestructible material and therefore these unique pieces of rattan furniture are capable of lasting for generations.
