Rana Chair Exterior

The distinctive Rana Exterior Lounge Chair with 3 legs was designed by Nanna Ditzel, one of Denmark's most innovative designers, renowned for the iconic 'Hanging Egg Chair' design. 

An internationally award winning chair the Rana chair was instrumental in the rediscovery of rattan's many properties and contributed to wicker furniture regaining its status in interior design.

It is part of Sika-Design's exclusive ICONS collection, which represents a unique selection of design furniture, created by renowned designers. With great respect and admiration for the original designs and in close collaboration with the descendants of these well-known furniture designers, Sika-Design has been delighted to bring these pieces back to the fore. 

The Rana Lounge Exterior Chair is constructed from Alu-rattan, a weatherproof powder coated aluminium and handwoven with Sika-Design ArtFibre^?, which is an extremely durable and weather-resistant material made of polyethylene. 

It can withstand heavy rain, very cold conditions and the sun's UV radiation and therefore be left outdoor all year round without compromising the design or quality. The combination of ArtFibre^? and aluminium gives the Rana chair a remarkable strength and comfort.
