Machiya Exterior Bench

The stunning Machiya Exterior bench is created by Japanese designer Jin Kuramoto. He drew his inspiration from a traditional Japanese house style known as Machiya which is built by connecting small houses next to each other and created to use small space efficiently and functionally. Wooden lattices characteristically adorn the facade. 

The bench and stool were designed so that they could used as a combination or individually to create a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The seating surface is composed of beautiful line and cross work creating a comfortable seating experience. The space under the seat can be used for storage and is reflecting the wisdom of the Machiya style to use space efficiently. 

The Machiya Bench is handcrafted from Alu-rattan, a weather proof powder coated aluminium and ArtFibre, which consists of artificial fibres made of maintenance free polyethylene materials that can withstand the sun's UV radiation. Due to the high quality of the weather proof materials used it is able to withstand being outside throughout the year without compromising the design or quality. 

A timeless design the Machiya Bench can be used individually or paired with the Machiya Exterior Stool to add a delightful ambience to your outdoor area.

Maintenance: our exterior furniture requires no maintenance. Suitable for staying outside all year round and is easy to clean. The furniture can be washed using a soft cloth with water and mild soap.
